The entire expenditure group contributed inflation in Bandar Lampung, namely foodstuffs contributes inflation of 0.53 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco contributed inflation of 0.07 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.01 percent; clothing group contributed inflation of 0.03 percent; health group contributed inflation of 0.01 percent, and in the transport and communications and financial services contributed an inflation of 0.10 percent, education, recreation and sport do not contribute to inflation.
Some of the dominant commodity inflation contributed include red chili, inter-city transportation, tomatoes, carrots, jengkol, sugar, eggs, squid, garlic, and chicken meat.
Based on the calculation of the Consumer Price Index (CPI), the inflation of Bandar Lampung due to an increase in the index of foodstuff by 2.21 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco rose by 0.39 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel rose 0.03 percent; clothing group increased by 0.57 percent; health group rose by 0.30 percent, and in the transport and communications, and financial services rose by 0.67 percent; while the education, recreation, and sport does not change the index.
Inflation in Bandar Lampung is ranked 37th of the 82 cities observed price changes. Of the 82 cities, all cities experiencing inflation. The highest inflation was in Louth by 2.14 percent, while the lowest inflation was recorded in Padang by 0.10 percent.
Bandar Lampung, in June 2016 based on the calculation of the rate of inflation (point to point) is 0.29 percent and inflation year on year (yoy) amounted to 3.21 percent.
